Joining Third Grade Is A Place For Me for the Newbie Blog Hop. I agree that blogging is the new way to share and learn new ideas for the classroom

1.  what state you are in    Indiana

2.  your current teaching position Second Grade Teacher

3.  your teaching experience I have taught for 16 years, Title One, Reading Recovery, First Grade and the last 8 years in Second Grade

4.  when you started blogging I started blogging May 2011, I consider myself a newbie because I only have 33 posts, I have a new goal to post most every day and increase my sharing of teaching ideas

5.  share a blogging tip / blogging resource I have been reading lots of tips this summer to figure out how to make my own blog header, grab me buttons, add links, etc.  The blog tip is a how to make a grab me button: This website was helpful but picnik is no longer available but you can use picmonkey instead. http://www.mypregnancybaby.com/blog-buttons-tutorial-how-to-make-blog-button-code/
I used this website to create my button link html code http://www.mycoolrealm.com/sandbox/gbgen/

  2. I'm glad you joined the blog hop! I am impressed you made your own header. I wish I had the patience to do that! I like how your blog looks! The tree on your header is cute! I have a polka dot themed classroom, so I'm thinking of making one like yours.

    1. Thanks for the follow. I am now following you. So glad to hear you love Reading Recovery. It's so exciting to use all these strategies with my Second Graders and build on what they learned in First Grade. It really makes a difference in the kids we get in Second Grade and so glad we still have the program as many schools have cut it.
