Using You Tube for Fun Halloween Sequence and Summarizing

How to Haunt a House Video Clip (5:49)
Our classroom watched this fun Disney video clip with Goofy about How to Haunt a House. We stopped after each step and discussed what happened and wrote down a sentence or two under it to summarize it. Students loved this and keep asking if we can watch it again.
Room on the Broom Link Video Clip (8:52)
I then read the BOOK Room on the Broom (I found it at Walmart in the Halloween books) to the class and then we filled out a sequence retelling of the story. The link does have the story being read online I don’t think it shows any of the pictures but read with very interesting voices and sound effects. Pick up the Sequence and Summarizing Sheets here for FREE at my TPT store.

Here's a sneak peak of our Spooky Eyes Tree.  I will post more about it with freebie patterns later this week. I will also share some fun ideas for writing to use with the little creatures. My students loved making their spooky eyes creatures and were so excited when I hung them up today.
